Our service is aimed at assisting the client who is lacking the required engineering experience. Our engineers will help in determining qualified expenditures and in writing the technical reports that are required by CCRA. The number one criteria for these tax credits being "does the project meet the definition of scientific research and development? i.e.: contains the elements of technical uncertainty etc". A big advantage that we have over accountants and most clients is that we have the necessary expertise, in diverse technical matters, to determine this and to also present it in a form that will obtain government approval. As engineers, we will meet with CCRA from a technical perspective and clearly explain how and why a claim should be accepted. We will also work with clients to determine what current projects and activities are worth claiming and to tailor their future R&D efforts such that future claims will meet the requirements.
